About This Project
Why I test AI tools so you don't have to — and what this site is really about.
Hi, I'm a solopreneur — just like you.
I started this site because I was drowning in tool subscriptions and getting nowhere. Every week there's a new "AI-powered" app claiming to save you 10 hours a week. Most of them don't. Some of them actively waste your time.
So I started testing them myself. Methodically. With a timer. I'd run each tool through real workflows — not demo scenarios — and track what actually happened. Did it save time? Was the output usable? Would I recommend it to another solopreneur?
The Solopreneur AI Toolkit is the result of that testing. Every review, guide, and comparison here comes from hands-on use. I don't repress press releases. I don't write sponsored fluff. If a tool sucks, I'll say so. If it's genuinely good, I'll tell you exactly why and how to use it.
What You'll Find Here
- Honest tool comparisons — tested side-by-side with real workflows, not marketing demos
- Step-by-step automation guides — exact workflows you can copy and adapt
- Productivity deep dives — how to structure your day, your stack, and your systems
- No fluff — every article answers one question: "Does this actually help a solopreneur?"
The Philosophy
I believe the best tool is the one you actually use. Not the one with the most features. Not the cheapest. Not the one with the best marketing. The one that fits into your workflow and makes your life measurably better.
That's why I focus on workflows, not features. A tool with 10 features you'll never touch isn't worth $10/month. A tool that saves you 30 minutes a day is worth whatever it costs.
Affiliate Disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click through and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.
Here's what that means for you:
- I only recommend tools I've personally tested and actively use
- Affiliate links never influence my recommendations or rankings
- If a tool has an affiliate program, I'll use the link — if it doesn't, I'll still recommend it if it's good
- My reviews include both pros and cons. Every tool has weaknesses, and I call them out
Think of it this way: the affiliate commission helps cover the cost of running this site and testing new tools. It doesn't buy a good review. If a tool wants my recommendation, it has to earn it.
